  1. Ed Says:

I have absofuckinglutly no fear of being attacked by a shark. I have never and never will go into the ocean. Unless, the rumor about land sharks is real I think I’m safe.

Steve says, “Well, they’re now in rivers, lakes, and streams!!!!! They’ve evolved where they can do this now (living in low salt environments)! I’ve been surfing wikipedia about it!”

  2. Kim Says:

    Ummm …Steve …who isn’t?! LOL

I need your help. How do I create pages on my blog?

Steve says, “When you click on ‘Write’ select page instead of post.”

  3. Wondermachine Says:

DAMN! Thanks for scaring the shit out of me.
I grew up in the South Texas on the coast and I remember being in the water for a swim and just hearing that JAWS bass line and freaking out!! I mean I could be in the shallowest water and it would do it’s trick.

Of course there were also very real shark attacks so it wasn’t out of the realm of possibility. So it didn’t help. But that photo. DaMN!

Steve says, “I know the photo is freaky! I’d shit my pants if I turned around and saw that. And I had older brothers who thought it was funny to have one of them grab me from underneath the water while another brother would scream, “Oh My God it’s a shark!” Plus after reading that sharks have now migrated to lakes, rivers, and streams by way of canals and such; I don’t want to go into anything but pools. In India, more people are killed by Bull Sharks, in rivers, than are killed by Great Whites on the coastline!”

  4. happy retarded boy Says:

You’re about as likely to be hit by lightning or win the lottery. It’s an irrational fear, kind of like my hatred of flying…sorry darlin’.

Steve says, “Not many fears are rational. But I do love to fly!”

  5. sassybear Says:

I have a SEVERE shark phobia and started getting immediately nauseous when i saw that pick. I get teased a lot about it, but people don’t realize it’s not just a FEAR but a PHOBIA that i will be attacked by sharks and I can’t even see them in pics or on TV without going into a panic attack.

Steve says, “I have the same phobia and this pic definitely freaked me out!”

  6. Java Says:

Steve, are you spending too much time on wikipedia?

    Steve says, “Um…..Maybe.” :P

  7. Jack Naasti Says:

I sure hope that you are making this up about sharks being in rivers and lakes, I have not been in the ocean since I saw Jaws (19 times)

I better hire me a posse of dolphions

Steve says, “I wish I were making it up. In Nicaragua, there’s a lake that is notorious for shark attacks. In India, the rivers have more shark attacks than the ocean. I read all of this on wikipedia, so I’m assuming it’s reliable! And yes, they don’t know why sharks don’t attack around dolphins, but they don’t.”

  8. Steven Says:

I guess I shouldn’t share my story about the shark-petting experience I had in Florida? :-D

Steve, “Yikes! I thought brushing up against a shark led to abrasions & bleeding?”
