I lived in blissful denial until the age of 25, which is probably why I had a wonderful childhood and why the act of coming out of the closet was uniformly positive for me, aided - of course - by my adoptive lesbian moms who immediately took me under their wing and showed me just how wonderful an open and honest life could be.

Steve says, "<em>I think a lot of us are fortunate to have a more experienced Mo take us under his/her wing</em>."

oh hell yea. I came out to my parents (no actually they found out when they discovered the porn) when I was around 15 or 16. They immediately sent me to a Christian organisation which aims to "cure" through counselling and prayer. Needless to say, it was quite ineffective (and troublesome too). Right now, I just tell them that I'm straight and fine and dandy because I don't want to go through that again.

Recently, I came out to one of my girl-friends. She was surprisingly calm and took it well. You can read about it on my blog. That went much better than I expected:)

No, it was easy. Maybe it has to do with a more tolerant country.
