Some Live In A Bubble ♥√♣
There’s this blogger. He’s way out there in the liberal department. I mean, he makes Hanoi Jane look like a Republicunt (and I love Jane Fonda). Anyhow, sometimes he writes the most biased pieces. That’s fine. His blog, his rules. But, what’s interesting is that if ya disagree with what he’s saying, he deletes your comments; and apparently classifies ya as either a heterosexist, racist, bigot, or misogynist. Dude, if ya really want to spread the truth, then ya better be willing to debate both sides of the story! His piece was about the crisis going on in the mideast. He showed pictures of injured Palestinians, with a statement of how Israel doesn’t want the world to see them as human. I commented to him something along the lines of, “Hey! Where are the pictures of the innocent, maimed, Israeli citizens, which led to the crisis to begin with?” And he deleted my comment. Good luck on building an audience as a political blogger! Real political blogging would involve both sides of the story! I guess since I believe in a g_d and I’m not liberal enough of a homo, that I’m just too stupid to see that this brilliant man has all the answers? I mean, the fact that I have family in Israel who live with this terror on a daily basis is irrelevant? Cuz this blogger is so fucking brilliant. I’m sure he has the magical answers and cures for the world. But, I know he won’t share them with me, cuz apparently this misogynistic, heterosexist, bigoted blogger is too damned stupid (I’m referencing myself, Steve, the faggot). Well, I don’t need people like that on my blogroll. Excuse me while I go play dumb elsewhere on the net.

Ooh, a liberal fascist. Yay.
Steve says, “Yeah, liberals seem to think that only conservatives can be fascists.”

I don’t disagree w/your take on the comments, to a degree. But it is his blog – and I would assume he is NOT looking to debate both sides of the (any) subject.
….and you’re a faggot? ewwwwwwww.
Steve says, “You bring up a good point. But, I figured since I’m not a heterosexist, racist, misogynist, or bigot (his wording under comments of people he would not accept opinions from), that it would be alright to offer another perspective. Especially, since I’ve commented on that blog before, and he has commented on mine. I also said more than just the Israeli thing. I said that I’m sure you know that I’m not trolling your blog, as we’ve conversed before; but that it seemed inflammatory to present one side of the story. And if his stance is that no comments are accepted but ones which fit his schema of thinking, then he ought to state that. Rather than saying heterosexist, misogynistic, and bigoted comments won’t be accepted, he should be forthright and state, “Any opinion which isn’t in alignment with mine will be deleted.” But my personal opinion is, “Why have a blog if all ya want to hear is people who think exactly like you?“

I agree “Why have a blog if all ya want to hear is people who think exactly like you?“ In that case he should keep it private and not public.
In the Netherlands we call that arse licking! Can I say that on an American blog or is it just like on American TV where it’s bleeped out… ?
Steve says, “It won’t be bleeped on this blog.”

Honey, you’re welcome to come play dumb on my blog any day. There’s plenty of dumb to play with over there.
Steve says, “I like playing dumb cuz people never really know how smart ya really are. When one plays smart, it’s really easy to tell how dumb one really is.
BTW, I’m not implying that about this blogger. I have no hard feelings with that person. Just think the dude filters the truth to fit his reality, IMHO.”

How dare that Java Jones talk about me like that as if I’m not going to come around here and see that! Hmmmph!
Steve says, “I like how you were gender-neutral when referencing Java.”

Steve says, “Yeah, liberals seem to think that only conservatives can be fascists.”
That’s all of us liberals right, Steve? Does any one know how not to make sweeping generalizations anymore?
sigh….
Steve says, “Well, in all honesty, in the circles of reading I do (as far as political blogging), it’s liberals calling conservatives fascists. I haven’t seen any conservative political bloggers (out of the ones I’ve read) stating that. Regardless, I’m sorry that my statement was interpreted as a sweeping generalization. I was referring to political bloggers, which I don’t think you or I are one (political bloggers). But, anyhow, as I look at that; I can see where it’s got sweeping tendencies
Sorry hun, for offending!”

I feel mildly guilty having evoked the F-word.
Steve says, “Whadya got? Jewish guilt?”
